RECONCILIATION and HOLY COMMUNION are celebrated at IHM in Grade 2.
The preparation for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation (Rec) at IHM begins in the Grade 2 of CRE (prior to the preparation for First Holy Communion). The preparation program usually includes a Family Gathering and a Parent Gathering (special information for those parents whose eldest child is receiving Reconciliation for the first time). The Sacrament of First Reconciliation is usually celebrated the first Friday evening in December.
The preparation for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion (FHC) at IHM is also offered in the Grade 2 of CRE. The preparation program also includes a Family Gathering, a Parent Gathering (special information for those parents whose eldest child is receiving Eucharist for the first time), Song Rehearsal, and Rehearsal for the Celebration Day. The Sacrament of First Holy Communion is usually celebrated the first Saturday in May.
